Applied ICT Course overview

The Applied GCE ICT course consists of 6 units;

• Unit 1 – The Information Age (portfolio)
• Unit 2 – The Digital Economy (portfolio)
• Unit 3 – The Knowledge Worker (practical assessment)

These three units make up the AS qualification and will be covered over Year 12

·         Unit 7 – Using Database Software (practical assessment)

·         Unit 8 – Managing ICT Projects (portfolio)

·         Unit 10 – Using Multimedia Software (portfolio)*

·         Unit 11 – Using Spreadsheet Software (portfolio)*

·         Unit 12 – Customising Applications (portfolio)*

(* Only 1 of these units will be chosen)

Units 7&8 plus the 1 other unit to be decided make up the full A2 qualification and will be covered over Year 13.
